The efficacy subject to substrate properties is biodegradation (dissolution of polymer, not reduction into smaller fragments) with optimisation initially of ≈ 60% within the first year.

The product does not biodegrade if the material is held at manufacturing site stores, nor the final product held at final customer stores or supplier shelves, the commencement of biodegradation is when the product is exposed to microbe-rich environment like landfills, water masses, oceans, rubbish dumps.

Does not affect the recycle stream (per above), nor the integrity of existing mechanical properties of recycled products.
